Show more [+] Less [-]Changes in hydrological extremes will have implications on the design of future hydraulic structures, flood plain development, and water resource management. This study assesses the potential impact of climate change on extreme hydrological events in the Akaki River catchment area in and around Addis Ababa city. Projection of future climate variables is calculated by using a General Circulation Model (GCM), an advanced tool for estimating future climatic conditions. The climate projection analysis divides the coming 90 years into two time periods.
