Species spectrum of the Fusarium genus on lentil in Czechoslovakia [Lens culinaris]

Plant samples of three Czechoslovak varieties (Lenka, Trebisovka, and Okula) and a Canadian variety (Laird) from stands showing severe wilting were examined in May 1989 in vitro. Fungi of Fusarium genus were found on 75 of the plants examined. The most frequent occurring species was F. Oxysporum Schlecht. emend. Snyd. and Hans. Moreover, F. culmorum (W.G. Smith Sacc., F. solani (Wart.) Appel and Wr. were identified. Widespread occurrence of fungi and deteriorated plant health could also be ascribed to severe drought making plants vulnerable
