This book is the proceedings for regional conference on the mechanization of field experiments held at Aleppo, Syria, in 1987. The conference, organized by IAMFE, Norway, and ICARDA, Syria, aimed at improving the accuracy and capacity of field trials and enabling most operations to be completed more quickly in West Asia, where the mechanization of cereal and legume trials is not as developed as it is in more temperate regions. The conference also provided a forum for the presentation of new and modified equipment and the results of field tests, and for the identification of subjects for future research.
