[Presence of Thymus praecox Opiz subsp. zygiformis (H. Braun) Jalas in Italy]

English. The herbarium samples of the genus Thymus L. of the Botanic Institute in Rome (RO) have been consulted. Among them Thymus praecox Ophiz subsp. zygiformis (H. Braun) Jalas coming from Gran Sasso (Central Apennine) has been found. This subspecies had been known only on the high mountains of Albania and Yugoslavia and its presence has been observed in Italy for the first time.

Braun) Jalas, proveniente dal Gran Sasso (Appennnino centrale). L'entita era conoscuita finora solo per la alte montagne dell'Albania e della Jugoslavia e questa e la sua prima segnalazione nel territorio italiano
