[Anomalous proliferative activities in apple and pear ovules at the begining of flowering]

English. During research on the effective pollination period in apple and pear, an anomalous proliferative activity was observed in the embryo sac and in the nucellus. Such activity was found both in young and senescing flowers and lead to irregular embryo sacs and other proliferations. As such proliferative activity has been observed as a suitable material for obtaining nucellar embryos for clonal stock an accurate description seemed worth while.

(periodo utile di impollinazione) del pero e del melo, venne osservata attivita proliferativa anomala sia nel sacco embrionale sia nella nocella. Questa attivita riscontrata nei fiori piu vitali sia giovani che senescenti condusse alla formazione di sacchi embrionali irregolari e ad altri tipi di proliferazione. Si e ritenuto utile descrivere questi fenomeni perche sono stati osservati anche da altri Autori, e la nocella del melo e stata indicata come possibile fonte per ottenere embrioni nucellari e quindi materiale clonale.
