[Agrobacterium tumefaciens (Smith et Townsend) Conn biotype 1 (Keane et al.) causal agent of crown gall on chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat) in Sardinia]

English. The occurrence of crown gall was observed on greenhouse and field grown chrysanthemum plants (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.) in Sardinia (Italy). The causal agent has been isolated in pure culture and identified by pathogenicity tests and biochemical characters as Agrobacterium tumefaciens (Smith et Townsend) Conn biotype 1 Keane et al. Such a biotype is recorded for the first time in Sardinia in this host plant.

L'agente e stato isolato in coltura pura e identificato attraverso prove di patogenicita e saggi biochimici come Agrobacterium tumefaciens (Smith et Townsend) Conn biotipo 1 (Keane et al.). Questo biotipo non era stato finora riscontrato su crisantemo in Sardegna.
