The effect of using organic fertilizers on the growth and production of eggplant

The research was carried out in the agricultural season (2018-2019) in thevillage of Hmeimim-Jableh to study effect of organic fertilizer on the growthand production of eggplant in open field agriculture.Eggplant hybrid "Barcelona" was used in agriculture. The study included 6treayments in 4 replicates per treatment according to the design of the completerandomized sector.The results of the research showed that the treatment of dry organicfertilization was higher by 500 g/m2 over all the studied treatments , with clearsignificant differences in terms of the area of the leaf surface and its index,reaching (27048-4.83).while the results did not show the existence of significant differencesbetween the two treatments of organic fertilization (400-500)g/m2 in terms ofnumber of flower, number of fruit knots and fruit set% , but the two treatmentsof organic fertilization outperformed all the studied treatments signicantdifferences.The results also showed that the organicfertilization treatment of 500 g/m2 exceeded all the studied treatments in termsof fruit weight , number of branches, number of leaves , and total production ,with significant differencesThe results showed that the specifications of the organic product aresuperior in terms of ( percentage pf dry matter % , percentage of total solublesolids %, percentage of acidity%) , over the two treatments of farmer andwitness , wich gave the lowest value. The nitrate concentration was less valuablein the fruits of the organic produced plants , wich makes them desirable byconsumers.It was observed from the study that there was a strong positive correlationbetween the number of leaves and each of the leaf area and its index.It was also found that there is a strong positive correlation between thenumber of flowers formed on the plant and the number of fruits contracted withplant production.
