Westcott, Richard B.
(Critical) This program is an introduction to gnotobiotics in production of experimental animals. Isolation, sterilization and its maintenance, supplies, and microbiologic monitoring are covered. The information is accurate, current, andconcise, practical experience in a laboratory setting is necessary for full comprehension. The technical quality is generally good; the narration is clear and well integrated with the slides. This is a large amount of information which, although logically organized, is presented at a rapid pace. Overall this production is well done and is recommended for personnel in the areas of animal health, nutrition, immunology, disease pathogenesis, and epidemiology.
