Sugarless--towards the year 2000
1994
Rugg-Gunn, A. J.
Reviews progress made in reducing sugar intake and in the use of non-sugar sweeteners as a replacement for sugar. Presents an exchange of views on this subject, with contributions from dentists, food scientists, industrialists, nutritionists, and food legislators. Focuses on two principal groups of sugar-containing products -- confectionery and liquid oral medicines -- and on reducing sugar intake to reduce tooth decay. Records the progress made to date and indicates where further work is needed in the move towards a sugar-free diet. Of interest to dental, medical, and pharmaceutical experts; nutritionists; food regulators; and those involved with development, manufacturing, and marketing.
