Abstract: A guide for new program participants is provided by Weight Watchers, a weight reduction program. Basic questions an interested dieter might ask regarding nutrition are answered. Simply posed are such questions as: what are basic nutrients; how can I obtain required nutrients but lose weight; what are calories, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Additional responses include information on cholesterol, vitamins, and minerals. Fiber and exercise are mentioned also. (kbc).
