Extract: This study assessed the profitability of different management systems for farm flock sheep enterprises. The analysis centers on lambing date, which determines feed costs through interrelationships among feed requirements, season of feed availability and seasonality of prices. It also affects fixed costs of facilities, labor requirements, market dats and ultimately total enterprise profitability.
