Relative efficacy of insecticides against Spodoptera litura (Fab) in Groundnut

Among the different insecticides evaluated against Spodoptera litura in groundnut, thiodicarb @ 1 g L⁻¹ was significantly found to be effective in protecting leaf damage, larval reduction and recorded highest pod, haulm yields. This was followed by novaluron @ 1ml L⁻¹, flubendiamide @ 0.2 ml L⁻¹, emamectin benzoate @ 0.2 g L⁻¹ and spinosad @ 0.3 ml L⁻¹ compared to other treatments cypermethrin @ 1.5 ml L⁻¹, quinalphos @ 2.0 ml L⁻¹, chlorpyriphos @ 2.5 ml L⁻¹, indoxacarb @ 1.0 ml L⁻¹, lambda cyhalothrin @ 1.0 ml L⁻¹ and rynaxypyr @ 0.3 ml L⁻¹, respectively.
