Correlation Studies Between Grade, Fiber Properties, and Yarn Strength in Egyptian Cotton
1972
El-Hattab, H.E. | El-Shaer, M.H. | Soliman, M.H.
Fibrograph measurements were found to correlate better with grade and yarn strength as compared with Balls sorter measurements. Fineness and maturity combined expressed by the micronaire reading was highly correlated with grade than either fineness or maturity measured separately. A high-correlation coefficient was obtained between grade and tenacity measured by Stelometer at 1/8-in. gauge length.
