SynopsisCotton produced a 2-year average of 1,794 pounds of lint per acre where a high rate of irrigation and 240 pounds per acre of nitrogen were added. Nitrogen increased the efficiency of water utilization. High yield was associated with a high nitrogen content of the plants.
