A new dimension in salad dressing: Yogurt
1978
Elias, Stanley
Last May, Crowley Foods, Inc. introduced four flavors of yogurt-based salad dressing to a test market. The product, its packaging and distribution are discussed. Points that met favorable consumer response other than flavor were the fact that the dressings had a third fewer calories than comparable oil-based dressings. Consumers found the decanter bottle attractive and easy to pour. They also liked the freshness of the product, which is accented by vacuum packaging and its placement in the retailer's dairy case.
