How to measure job satisfaction
1976
Carrell, Michael
Commerically prepared questionnaires on job satisfaction are reviewed with tips for selecting evaluation instruments. The criteria suggested for considering various job satisfaction questionnaires include checking for relevant content, simplicity of wording, ease with which response can be "faked," length of time for completion, employee sample used for final version, norms, and statistical validity. Two tables are presented which summarize evaluation techniques and include the strengths and weaknessess of various satisfaction measurements.
