Bananas and that's what this story is
1979
Feldman, Elane
A brief history of the banana is presented. It probably originated in humid, tropical Asia, and was among the earliest plant foods cultivated by mankind. Through a combination of advances in refrigeration technology, improved methods of transportation, and a new scientific approach to banana growing, bananas became popular in America and England by the early 1900's. The cultivation and physiology of the banana plant are described. Tips for handling and eating bananas are given.
