Extract: The general objective of this study was to determine alternative waste handling systems applicable to Louisiana dairy farms and costs associated with each system. the specific objectives are to determine: 1. the kind of waste treatment facilities currently in use on Louisiana dairy farms, and the costs associated with these facilities; 2. technically feasible waste handling systems for Louisiana conditions; and 3. costs associated with selected waste handling systems determined in objective.
