A report on the proceedings of the 1977 President's Conference on Nutrition is presented. This historic conference brought together for the first time the presidents of the four largest professional associations within institutional foodservice (ADA, ASFSA, NACUFS and ASHFSA). They met to explore the possibilities of establishing a unified approach to nutrition education and to discuss the merits of a national nutrition policy. Some significant aspects of the Conference are described, and the participants are pictured.
