Leftovers, body weight and sex of eater
1985
LeBow, M.D. | Chipperfield, J. | Magnusson, J.
Male and female subjects categorized as thin, average, or overweight were studied to determine the amount of food left on their plates. There was no correlation between the degree of overweight and the amount of food leftover on the subjects' plates. There were also no significant sex differences. The data suggest that the current practice of suggesting that obese individuals leave food on their plates may not be an effective means of food intake control.(lsp)
