Extract: Income distributional impacts and irrigation return flows resulting from the implementation of alternative water quality policies were projected for the Western San Joaquin Subbasin from a recursive simulation of an integrated physical-economic analytical system. The research presented in this paper is intended to be illustrative of the type of information necessary for the design and evaluation of policies and programs for the control of nonpoint sources of pollution.
