Poly-1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone with Mn₂(CO)₁₀, Fe(CO)₅, Co₂(CO)₈ and Ni(CO)₄ in methylene chloride forms the following complexes: [Mn(C₆H₉NO)₅]ₙ, Fe(C₆H₉NO)₅]ₙ, [[Co(C₆H₉NO)₅] [Co(CO)₄]₂]ₙ and [Ni(C₆H₉NO)₄]ₙ. The IR spectra are discussed.
