How much psychic income are you paying?
1982
Ginsburg, Sigmund G.
Psychic income, which is related directly to self-worth and self-actualization in the workplace, is discussed. Psychic income is a sense of fulfillment, ego gratification, using creativity, and making things happen. It can be an alternative to increased actual income when monetary raises are not economically feasible. Twenty ways supervisors can increase employees' psychic income are listed (e.g., compliment employees). Time and effort spent on psychic income can pay huge dividends in terms of employees' job satisfaction, reduced absenteeism and turnover, and increased creativity and productivity. (kbc)
