Breast-feeding trends among poor and well-to-do mothers in Singapore

A report discusses the results of 2 studies of breast-feeding trends of 310 poor and 202 well-to-do Singaporean mothers. Significant differences were found between the 2 groups of mothers. The results indicated that ca. 60% of the well-to-do mothers initiate breast-feeding practices, while such practices are initiated by only ca. 36% of the poor mothers.
