Saving energy with hot water
1977
Cook, Robert E.
Hot water energy saving tips are offered for restaurants and other foodservice operations. Particular emphasis is given to dishwashers and water heating equipment. The wrong size dishwasher, leaking, too large orifices and too much water pressure can cost money and waste energy. A diagram illustrates a system which stores hot water at a lower temperature and boosts it to 180 degrees for a sanitary dishwasher rinse. Combustion efficiency, ignition systems and insulation should be carefully evaluated.
