NAFEM: Problems of '78 follow us in '79
1979
Anoff, Seymour
The President of the National Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers comments on economic issues for 1979. Most of the economic conditions facing the food service industry remain unsolved, waiting for Federal legislation to establish the parameters within which the industry must operate. Inflation is the number one problem. The new energy bill will raise fuel prices, increasing costs of products and services. The new tax bill may partially offset increases in social security and inflation. No abatement of government regulations is expected.
