Taking risks will get your career moving
1983
Oliver, Michael L.
Risk taking must be balanced with common sense based on credibility. Remove protective shields of policy, silence, and corporate mumbo-jumbo, and slowly open yourself to possible criticism and arguments. A few successes will bolster confidence and set the stage for bolder innovations. Know your limits. Be positive rather than negative; use candor instead of propaganda; express your feelings; reject intimidation; and trust employees. Analyze your own job behavior and determine if you are a risk taker. (kbc)
