This paper describes the induced autolysis of different yeast species for multipurpose processing of their biomass. The flowscheme (process) provides for production of a mixture of amino acids, carbohydrates, nucleic components, and cell envelope fragments. The role of the biomass and inducers is discussed, as is the three-stage autolysis mechanism.
