Mining activities has considerable effect on the soil physic-chemical property and nutrient status. The impact of mining activities on soil physic-chemical property and status of macronutrients at different zones (Tensile Zone, Compressive Zone & virgin Zone) was studied. Soil of tensile zone was slightly acidic than compressive and virgin zone. Soils of virgin zone had higher bulk density (1.25Mg/m3) than compressive zone (1.20Mg/m3) and tensile zone (1.13Mg/m3). Maximum water holding capacity (38.86%) was present in virgin zone and it was found minimum (33.52%) in tensile zone. Value of organic carbon content was highest (0.92%) in tensile zone and lowest (0.81%) in virgin zone. The availability of nitrogen was higher in tensile zone and lower in virgin. Available P was maximum (30.51 Kg/ha) in tensile zone and minimum (24.86 Kg/ha) in virgin zone. The highest content (208.28 Kg/ha) of Potassium(K) was found in tensile zone. It was lowest (180.29 Kg/ha) in virgin zone.
