The hospitality industry is increasing its emphasis on management development in order to increase profits and train managers to handle problems of multi-site firms. Managerial responsibility includes human and conceptual skills that relate to performance by employees; behavior modeling which is growing in popularity, depends on the 4 processes of manipulation: attention, retention, motor reproduction, and motivation. As the industry faces a changing managerial environment, the technique of behavior modeling may prove useful. (rkm)
