Food technology and food law: Uneasy partnership
1985
Hutt, Peter Barton
The relationship of food law to food technology is not well understood by professionals in either field. It is argued that educational efforts are needed to aid food technologists in understanding that regulatory development must be tied to scientific knowledge. Eight specific benefits of educating food scientists on food regulatory demands are described. The regulatory development process is briefly highlighted. Practical steps can be taken to include the rationale and development of food law in degree programs or continuing education courses are included. (wz)
