1980
Park, Michael
Worldwide nutrition problems may be solved through nutrition education which can be applied to daily family food habits. Community participation is therefore essential to progress in nutrition education. In Korea, nutrition education is being implemented through many avenues. These include formal school education, radio schools, and a UN-supported Applied Nutrition Project, school lunch program, and school/garden nutrition education program. Special activities for nutrition training of health personnel have been organized. Nutrition education of the public has been initiated via the Korean mass media. Integrated nutrition education programs have also been introduced in day care centers as part of a comprehensive effort to improve Korean family life.
