The great vitamin robbery
1976
Moore, Karen K.
Smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, taking oral contraceptives, dieting, or being under stress, may rob the body of essential vitamins. Furthermore, this situation is often unknown to the people engaged in these practices. This statement was the result of scientific evidence compiled by Hoffman La Roche in regard to situations leading to vitamin insufficiency, and from research data on public vitamin knowledge. Consequently, the drug firm is undertaking a massive public education campaign on vitamin requirements.
