Training for today and tomorrow
1982
Ricks, Joan F. | Kannwischer, Nell D.
To be successful, any ongoing training program must incorporate the organization's goals and objectives, competencies employees must achieve, and the motivation necessary to change behavior. Planned continuing education affords the opportunity for careeer development both for the organization's expansion opportunities and for the growth of personnel. The Florida Council on Education Management was created to assist with the preservice and graduate training for all managerial levels. To accomplish Council goals, a number of diversified training programs have been developed and based upon expected competencies for foodservice workers which are being validated. School foodservice training is rooted to the need for continual training and is a fine example of how training can foster and encourage growth of the personnel and support expansion requirements.
