Produced in many countries around the world in a wide variety of forms, aromatic and medicinal plants are an important source of therapeutic molecules. The molecules resulting from these plants are often assimilated to active ingredients possessing specific properties which give them a unique character. They are known for their richness in therapeutic molecules such as polyphenols, terpenes, alkaloids etc. The objective of this study is to determine the chemical composition of organic extracts of Lavandula x intermedia and to determine the concentration of certain metals in this plant. We used different spectroscopic technics like infrared, gas chromatography coupled to mass spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and thermodifferential analysis. The results showed that the concentrations of the metals assayed do not exceed the values determined by the standard analysis by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. It also showed that the organic extract of Lavandula x intermedia from Tahla (Morocco) largely contained 6,6,7-trimethyl-7- [(E) - 3-oxobut-1-enyl] -2-oxaspiro [2. 5] octan-8-one (17.98%), Bicyclo [4.3.0] nonane, 8-butyl-3-hexyl- (17.66%) and (5E, 6E) -5,6-bis (2,2- dimethylpropylidene) decane (9.11%).
