Implications of microcomputer technology for agricultural economics programs
1983
Levins, R.A.
Extract: The microcomputer has many implications for agricultural economics programs. The microcomputer will bring renewed popularity for our programs. It will also require that agricultural economists become familiar with its use to remain current in the profession. The role of the computer is changing from that of a tool to expand our own computing ability to that of a tool to expand our clientele's computing ability. Finally, it is argued that the microcomputer will bring about a shift in our efforts toward management and marketing applications aimed toward commercial agriculture.
