Comparative trials with benomyl (methyl 1-(butylcarbamoyl)-2-benzimidazolecarbamate) were performed to control powdery mildew on muskmelons by one root application versus fortnightly sprays. four quantities of benomyl were applied 4 weeks after emergence and spray schedules started at the same time and continued until 2 weeks before harvest. a correlation was established between disease incidence and the amount of benomyl in plants by the agar plate bioassay method.
