To study the lifting performance of crop dividers, three variable pitch spiral scrolls were designed in this paper, such as the spiral scrolls with increasing pitch, equal pitch, and decreasing pitch. Paired T test was conducted, which showed that the pitch distribution of scrolls had a significant effect on the lifting performance of crop divider. The machine forward speed, rotational speed, and installation angle of scrolls were taken as the test factors, and the lifting angle was selected as the test index. A response surface test (three factors and three levels) was carried out for three variable pitch spiral scrolls. The regression model was established through the test, and the optimal parameters of the model were also obtained: the forward speed was 0.8 m/s; rotational speed of scrolls was 120 r/min, and installation angle of scrolls was 60°. In addition, the regression model was verified and this study was expected to provide reference for design and improvement of crop dividers.
