Triterpenoids in bud exudates of Fijian Gardenia species

Five out of the nine bud exudates of Fijian Gardenia species examined contained triterpenoids. Three new triterpenoids have been characterized. They are: 9,19-cyclolanostane-3,24-dione; 9,19-cyclolanost-24-ene-3,23-dione; 4-nor-9,19-cyclolanost-24-ene-3,23-dione.
