Naegleria fowleri, mice, humoral immune response assessed in terms of agglutinating activity and immunoglobulin levels, relative roles of humoral and cell-mediated immunity assessed by passive transfer experiments and selected immunosuppressive treatments, protective immunity was increased only marginally by active immunization, cyclophosphamide, cobalt radiation, and diethylstilbestrol failed to impair host resistance, mice depleted of hemolytic complement by cobra venom factor were more susceptible to infection
