Field evaluation of new generation insecto-acaricides against thrips, yellow mite and fruit borer complex of Chilli

Spirotetramat 150 OD registered highest mean % reduction of both the sap suckers viz. chilli thrips and yellow mite with 86.1% and 79.3%, respectively. Spiromesifen 22.9 SC was also found very effective in mean % reduction of yellow mite population with 77.2% while, chlorfenapyr 10 SC and diafenthiuron 50 WP were proved much superior in mean % reduction of thrips, yellow mite and fruit borer complex with 84.6% and 83.2%, 74.1% and 72.3%, 72.3% and 75.2%, respectively. All the test chemistry found very soft against prevailing predatory fauna in chilli ecosystem except profenofos 50 EC. Yield increment was highest in chlorfenapyr 10 SC followed by diafenthiuron 50 WP and spirotetramat 150 OD.
