Pursue the power of positive decorating for the cafeteria
1987
Initiating a cafeteria decorating program that coordinates with the food service is one way that schools can enhance students' satisfaction with their school lunch program. Decorating programs need not be elaborate or expensive to succeed with students. A variety of economical decorating items can be purchased at local discount stores or ordered in quantity through specialty catalogues. Many types of display items can be combined in different ways to suit a variety of themes and promotions. Ten guidelines for successful decorating are identified. The importance of organizing advance publicity efforts and getting student input about theme and decorating ideas are discussed.
