Co-occurrence of hydroxylated lupanines and their corresponding angelate esters in Pearsonia species

Hydroxylated lupanines were found to co-occur with their corresponding angelate esters in specimens of different species of Pearsonia. The structures of two new compounds, 8-alpha,13-alpha-dihydroxylupanine and 3-beta,8-alpha, 3-alpha-trihydroxylupanine, are reported. The comparative 13C NMR data of all hydroxylated compounds and their angelate esters are reported.
