Advice is provided on infant feeding. Breast milk is highly advocated because it is nutritionally superior, convenient, comparatively inexpensive, ready mixed, instantly available at the proper temperature, and in a sterile container. Human and cow's milk are nutritionally compared. Infant formula is recommended for special situations where breast feeding is unwise. Seven pointers for microbiological safety of baby foods, and six rules for buying baby foods wisely, are included.
