Four features and characteristics that make a "walk-in" freezer most useful and cost-effective are highlighted and discussed. These factors are 1) pre-engineered "walk-ins" can be rapidly assembled and installed; 2) quality construction materials to reduce maintenance problems; 3) the placement of at least 4-inches of urethane foam between the metal skins; and 4) construction methods can be chosen to allow future expansion or relocation of the finished "walk-in".
