Measurement with the CSIRO Fiber Fineness Distribution Analyser
1982
Lunney, H.W.M. | Irvine, P.A.
CSIRO has developed a Fiber Fineness Distribution Analyser that is capable of measuring 2000 fibers at the rate of 50 raw counts per second—a rate that permits up to 20 samples to be measured per hour. It will determine the distribution of diameter of the fibers and provides data for standard deviation and coeflicient of variation. The paper describes an investigation into the performance of the instrument, its calibra tion, and how results obtained from it are analyzed.
