The tongue in cheek approach to management theories
1978
Parker, Norman A.
A concise review of current management theories focuses on Management Without Objectives, Transactional Avoidance, Job Impoverishment, Zero Perfects, and Inhuman Relations. It is contended that inhuman relations breed employee cohesiveness as subordinates join together in hatred of a dictatorial manager. Job impoverishment is a method for removing hated duties by letting everyone exchange a dreaded task for a period of time. If employed wisely, these tongue in cheek approaches produce observable improvements.
