Thermal reaction of moiybdenocene dihydride (η⁵-C₅H₅)₂MoH₂ with carbon disulfide affords a new molybdenocene complex (η⁵-C₅H₅)₂Mo(S₂CH₂) which according to analytical and spectroscopic data contains a methanedithiolate ligand.
