Educational needs in volunteer administration
1990
Brudney, J.L. | Brown, M.M.
Concerned that existing training opportunities in volunteer administration might not be sufficient, a small group of trainers, practitioners, and representatives of major associations in volunteer administration proposed a collaborative effort entitled the "Volunteer Leadership Institute" (VLI). This article reports the results of a survey completed by 765 administrators and managers on the status of continuing education programs in volunteer administration. Analysis of the responses indicate there is strong support for expanding training opportunities in volunteer administration and the VLI.
