Six glycosides from Rehmannia glutinosa var. purpurea

Four new glycosides, together with salidroside and decaffeoylacteoside, have been isolated from the dried roots of Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch. var. purpurea Makino. On the basis of chemical and spectral analyses, the structures of new compounds have been established as 2-phenylethyl O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 leads to 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, 2-phenylethyl O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 leads to 2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, n-hexsyl O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 leads to 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside and 2-methoxy-4-methylphenyl O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 leads to 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside.
